Fox, Rick & Morty creator plan a blockchain and NFT-enabled animated series

Throughout its upfronts presentation on Monday, Fox told advertisers about a brand-new animated series that leans on 2 buzzwords that youve definitely heard even if you dont know what they are: blockchain and NFT. Krapopolis, from Community and Rick & & Morty developer Dan Harmon, is “an animated funny set in mythical ancient Greece” following humans, gods and beasts trying to exist together.

The Hollywood Reporter quoted Fox CEO Charlie Collier telling advertisers that “simply as were doing this for our own animation, we will also assist your brand names connect straight with fans and lovers through NFTs. With and for you, Fox will assist art fulfill brands meet technology”

Where the crypto-buzz comes in is in numerous ways. Fox is introducing its own NFT company, Blockchain Creative Labs, together with the program to “produce, sell and handle NFTs, tokens and digital items.” As such, Krapopolis will be the first show ever “curated totally on the blockchain.”
