Fox, Rick & Morty creator plan a blockchain and NFT-enabled animated series

KRAPOPOLIS is an animated comedy embeded in mythical ancient Greece from Emmy Award-winning creator Dan Harmon (“Rick and Morty,” “Community”). During its upfronts presentation on Monday, Fox told marketers about a new animated series that leans on two buzzwords that youve certainly heard even if you do not know what they are: blockchain and NFT. Krapopolis, from Community and Rick & & Morty developer Dan Harmon, is “an animated funny set in legendary ancient Greece” following monsters, gods and humans trying to exist side-by-side.

Where the crypto-buzz is available in remains in several ways. Fox is introducing its own NFT business, Blockchain Creative Labs, along with the show to “develop, offer and handle NFTs, tokens and digital products.” As such, Krapopolis will be the first show ever “curated totally on the blockchain.”
